Cake Cutting - You need a sharp knife and a steady hand

As a rough guide. 

Medium 8" Top Tier serves 12-14 Cake Wedges
Small 6" Top Tier serves 8-10 Cake Wedges

Note: You should have at least a 2" difference between tiers. 

Wedge of Cake V Party Portion
The traditional way to portion a round cake is to cut wedges, each guest would be presented with a generous portion of cake. We recommend this method of cutting/portioning.

 

 

If you want to make your cake stretch further, consider 'party portions' for your guests, in a grid style you can increase the number of portions and present your guests with a finger of cake. Be warned - this can get a little messy!
